Aad Stoop read law in Leiden. Before establishing his practice at Leidsegracht, he practised at DLA SchutGrosheide in Amsterdam, and worked abroad at a variety of international organisations, including the United Nations and the European Union.
Aad is specialised in Business Law, his key consultancy areas being the establishment and spin-off of partnerships. He also regularly advises international organisations and governments on the development of democracy and related legislation.
Aad's other activities include chairmanships of the EuroMoS Foundation and the Association for Democracy and Media. As a member of these boards, his knowledge of business law covers both the perspective of the lawyer and that of the entrepreneur and shareholder. The latter quality is reflected by his board membership (as secretary) of the Association for Democracy and Media, which is an active majority shareholder of PCM, one of the largest media groups in the Netherlands.
Aad speaks English and French and has a basic command of German.
