Saar van Waegeningh has practised law since 1997. Before joining Leidsegracht Advocaten on 1 September 2006, she had worked for nine years at the law firm of Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn (attorneys to the Dutch government) in The Hague, interrupted by a one-year stint in Denmark.
Saar specialises in labour law in both the private and public sectors. She assists large and smaller companies with labour-law issues, ranging from individual dismissal cases to major reorganisations and co-determination programmes. Saar is also widely experienced in advising public organisations, including the highest levels of various ministries, municipal governments, legal institutions and independent administrative boards. In the context of her practice, Saar provides both verbal and written advice, in addition to consulting and litigation. Saar's approach is practical and straightforward.
Saar has contributed to a variety of legal publications. In addition to being a member of a number of associations in her professional field, Saar teaches Labour Law to attorneys and other lawyers. In June 2006, Saar completed the Labour Law specialist programme Grotius Arbeidsrecht, graduating with Honours. In addition to a good command of English, Saar has fair knowledge of French and German.
